long run

The whole picture

What long run is.

long run is an advisory firm for owners of specialty trade contracting companies at $1 to 5M in yearly earnings. We help an owner find out what the business is worth and what to do about it, before they sell: sell it through us, build its value first, or hold.

The method is the Payline, a valuation built from what real specialty contractors actually sold for and tested against real transactions. It prices your business as a range and shows the three things that move you inside it: what it really earns, how steady the money is, and whether it runs without you.

What we do: The Read, a private diagnostic that shows where you stand. The sale, run through us across four paths, with half your fees credited against the deal. The pods, seven flat-fee engagements that raise the number before you sell. The Seat, a standing quarterly relationship.

Who it is for: owners of specialty trade companies, electrical and the related trades, at $1 to 5M in earnings. Who it is not for: owners under about $1M in earnings, buyers rather than sellers, and anyone who wants a number rubber-stamped.

A named senior advisor stands behind every read. You pay for the Seat regardless of the answer, which is what lets us tell you not to sell. When you sell with us, we are paid the market-standard fee, and half your fees credit against the deal.
